Phyllis Elizabeth Jones Mathis, 82, of Hahira, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Fellowship Home. She was born on April 13, 1939 in Lake Wales, FL to the late Walter Webster Jones and Roma Enid Crosby Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of CrossPointe Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mathis is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Becky and Ray Parr, of Hahira, and Tamara and Jamie Oglesby, of Hahira; her grandchildren, Walter Oglesby and Ashton Bottomley, Jacob and Mariah Oglesby, Jaylee and Andrew Harper, Zachary Parr, and Grayson Parr; a great grandson, Jameson Oglesby; a sister, Janice Long, of Statenville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Edward Mathis, Jr., and a brother, Kenneth (Buddy) Jones.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 3pm in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Long officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery.
