PHILLIP W. MOSSEY, 63, of Valdosta died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on January 10, 1942 in Moon Township, Pennsylvania to the late Samuel and Olive Goss Mossey and had lived in this area since 1990. Mr. Mossey was a retired Master Sargeant in the United States Air Force and a member of the Christ Episcopal Church. Mr. Mossey loved people, loved his Corvette and his dog, Buster.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Weldon Mossey of Valdosta, two daughters and sons in law, Debbie and Tony Adamo of Tucson, AZ., Diane and Bobby Sanchez of Sierra Vista, AZ., stepdaughter and stepson in law, Angela and Tommy Kenny of Hahira, stepson and stepdaughter in law, Michael and Tara Weldon of Hahira, four grandchildren, Shannon Snow, Brian Snow, Lauren Sanchez and Anna Sanchez, five stepgrandchildren, Ashleigh Kenny, Trey Kenny, Nathan Kenny, Seth Weldon and Ty Weldon. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his two daughters, Debbie Clark Mossey, stepgranddaughter, Kaycee Kenny, a brother, Ed Mossey and a sister Shirley Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Thursday, March 17, 2005 at New Life Baptist Church in Adel. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Hahira with military honors at the graveside.
