Pfc Zachary Ryan Karr Usmc

PFC Zachary Ryan Karr, United States Marine Corps, 19 of Valdosta died Saturday, October 16, 2004 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on June 25, 1985 in Natchitoches, LA. Zachary was a 2003 Lowndes High School graduate and a member of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his parents, Richard and Vicky Van Beek Karr of Valdosta; one sister, Whitney Brianna Karr of Valdosta; grandparents, Col. William and Mrs. Beulah Karr of Denver, CO and Russel and Donna Van Beek of Montesano, WA; uncles and aunts, Lt. Col. William Karr of Riverside, CA, Kathryn Watson of St. Louis, MO, Sally and Larry Carpenter of Rockville, MD, Rex and Andra Van Beek of Selah, Washington, Stanley and Cheri Van Beek of Albany, OR and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at Park Avenue United Methodist Church with Reverend Craig Rikard officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
