PEGGY LUCILLE REID DURDEN

PEGGY LUCILLE REID DURDEN, 76, of Valdosta died Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. She was born on October 16, 1928 in Valdosta to the late Charles Goston and Eva Easters Reid and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mrs. Durden was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and a graduate of Mary Baldwin College.

Survivors include three daughters and sons in law, Dee Dee and Don Stanley of Valdosta, Polly and Richard Gustafson of Columbus, GA., Terri and Kirk Simmons of Richmond Hill, GA., four grandchildren, Amy Simmons, Emily Simmons, Evan Simmons all of Richmond Hill, Michael and Christie Fuller of Macon, one sister, Dr. Ruth Reid of Greenville, SC and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Durden.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2004 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Scarbrough and Rev. Scott McVey officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Carson McLane Funeral Home.
