Peggy Ann Rentz Williamson

Peggy Ann Rentz Williamson, 77, of Valdosta died Friday at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Valdosta on January 1, 1940 to the late Troy B. and Zelphia Blanton Rentz and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mrs. Williamson was a member of the Morven Church of Christ and retired from Owen Illinois Bag Plant Division. She loved the Lord, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Mrs. Williamson loved working in flowers, cooking and shopping. She always put others first and placing her needs last. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Glenn Williamson; her son and daughter in law, Robert and Rhonda Williamson; her daughter and son in law, Teresa and John Bethea all of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Robbie and Stephanie Williamson of Springhill, FL, Skylar Williamson of Valdosta, Airman Austin Bethea of Wichita, KS, Josh Bethea of Valdosta; her great grandchildren, Aiden Parker Williamson, Rilynn Faye Williamson, Jaxen Ray Williamson all of Springhill, Fl; four sisters and three brothers in law, Shirley and J. R. Lindler of Little Mountain, SC, Carol Dyess of Claxton, GA, Nancy and Charles Kinsey, Frances and Terry Moore all of Valdosta; sisters in law and brothers in law, Libby Deavours of Lake Park, Betty Brady of Barney, Sandra and Albert McLeod of Morven, Betty Jane Williamson of Pavo; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister in law, Bobby B. Rentz, Rickey and Laura C. Rentz, a brother in law, Lex Dyess, her grandparents, Alfred and Rena Blanton, Macon and Della Rentz, her parents in law, Walter and Elizabeth Williamson of Morven, a sister in law and brother in law, Frances and Gene Lewis of Baxley, brothers in law and sister in law, J. W. and Ernestine Williamson of Jacksonville, FL, Maurice Williamson of Pavo, GA; sister in law, Nan Sue Williamson of Morven.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Monday, May 15, 2017 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Thomas Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Morven.
