Pearlie "Pearl" Mae Dennis, 75, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and formerly of Valdosta, died on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. She was born on May 3, 1934 in Lowndes County to the late Barney and Loney Noles Moore. She retired as a waitress with the Plantation Restaurant and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Valdosta.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Thom Howard of Murfreesboro and Rhonda and Averitt Walker of Ft. Myers, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Melinda Dennis of Valdosta and Rick and Donna Dennis of Winder, Georgia; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a sisters-in-law, Marilyn Moore of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene "Johnny" Dennis and a son, Charles David Dennis.
A graveside service for Pearl Dennis will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Good Hope Cemetery in Naylor with Mr. Thom Howard.
