Mrs. Pearl Rea, 89 of Lake Park died on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Lakehaven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 24, 1918 in Diamond, Missouri to the late William Jesse and Cora Mullins Smith. Mrs. Rea was formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa and was a retired ward clerk in an osteopathic hospital in Davenport, Iowa. She was a local resident since 2000 and was of the Christian Church faith.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, David Archie Rea of Lake Park; two sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Lee Rea of Lake Park and Wayne and Betty Rea of Bettendorf, IA; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Jane and Ron LaFerr of Elgin, IL.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Jesse Smith of Clarksville, TN; and sister-in-law, Betty Smith of Springfield, MO. Mrs. Rea was preceded in death by a son, Larry David Rea; two sisters, Moneta Jane Smith and Pansey Francis Rea, and two brothers, Montie Joe Smith and Marion K. Smith.
