Pearl Bennett Dozier

Pearl Bennett Dozier, 67 of Valdosta, died on Saturday, April 07, 2007 at her residence after a brief illness. Born on January 23, 1940 in Stockton, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mary Magdalene Lightsey Bennett. Pearl was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are her son, Gary Pace of Valdosta; daughter, Kathy Holbert of Valdosta; grandchildren, Ashley Holbert of Valdosta, Carrie Wright of Nashville, Dusty Quinn of Calhoun; sisters and brother-in-law, Rose Lee and Billy McUllers of Nashville, Linnie Morgan of Stockton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy & Kathy Bennett, Eddie and Shelia all of Stockton, Bobby and Sharon Bennett of Nashville, Johnny and Lanell Bennett of Louisiana, Billy and Claire Bennett of Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews and her children’s father, Herbert Leroy Pace of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Bennett and Lawton Bennett.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Murrell Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Lovejoy Cemetery in Stockton. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
