Pearl Ann Roll Griffin

Pearl Ann Roll Griffin, 81, of Cecil died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Yorkstownship, Ohio on February 8, 1927 to the late Verla and Lilly Schilmmer Roll and had lived in this area for many years. Mrs. Griffin was the co-owner of Patterson-Griffin Shoes and the manager of the Castle Park Store. She was a former member of the Quota Club, loved collectibles and crocheting and being a homemaker. Mrs. Griffin was a Baptist.

Survivors include her four children, Debra Griffin of Moultrie, Jeffery T. Griffin of Cecil, Peggy Allen of Valdosta and Gary L. Griffin of Cecil, her grandchildren, Casey Gay, Mark Griffin, Misty Wilson, Corey Stripling, Eric Griffin, Christopher Griffin, Tanner Allen and Keaton Allen, four great grandchildren, Alex Gay, Kallie Gay, Connor Gay and Autumn Wilson, her sister, Janice Lee Ashley of Greenville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Billy Roll and Verla Roll, Jr. and her stepfather, Chalmer Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, November 30, 2008 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Skip Van Nus officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery in Cecil.
