Pauline Johnson Copeland

Pauline Johnson Copeland, 100, of Valdosta, died on Monday, March 14, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Lowndes County on July 3, 1910, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Ettie Touchton Johnson. Mrs. Copeland was a member of Airport Church of Christ and Woodman of the World. She had worked as an alterations seamstress for Belks.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and John Buckholts of Forest Park, Lynette and Richard Shepherd of Bella Vista, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Frances Copeland of Valdosta; six grandchildren, Albert and Jennifer Copeland of Chatsworth, Glenn and Vickie Copeland of Valdosta, Beth Greene of Valdosta, Eddie Buckholts of Stockbridge, Cindy Reed of Valdosta, Paula and Bill Wood of Jonesboro; fourteen great grandchildren, thirteen great great grandchildren, and her loving cat, Callie. Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Copeland, a son, Albert Copeland, one sister and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at 4 p.m. Mr. Keith Olbricht, Mr. John Klimko and Mr. Bryan Jarvis will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
