Paul Gregory Simpson, 61, of Valdosta died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Hahira on March 23, 1956 to Verlie Mae Hooker Simpson and the late John William "Bill" Simpson and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Simpson was a member of the New Harvest United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, Lowndes County football and playing softball.
Survivors include his son, Adam Greggory Simpson of Valdosta; his mother, Verlie Mae Simpson of Valdosta; his sisters and brothers, Pamela Sale of Lake Park, John Simpson, Mary (Kay) Simpson, Mark Simpson all of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Norma Jean and Steve Monroe and his cousin, Bernice Frank; many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30am, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Lake Park Cemetery with Rev. Sally Flowers, Rev. Robby Paulk and Rev. James Yarbrough officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10am-11am at the Carson McLane Funeral Home, 2215 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA 31602.
