Paul Ernest Freeman, 79, of Lake Park, Georgia died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at his home. He was born in Mt. Ida, Arkansas on May 11, 1930 to the late James Irvin and Minerva Watkins Freeman and had lived in Lake Park for the past eighteen years. Mr. Freeman was a member of the Lake Park United Methodist Church and retired from Bell South as an electrical engineer. He was a 1959 graduate of the University of Mississippi and a member of the Optimist Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mr. Freeman enjoyed playing golf and coaching Pony League Baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Eula Morris Freeman of Lake Park, daughter and son in law, Paula and Steve Miller of Chapel Hill, NC., daughter in law, Debbie Freeman of Lake Park, five grandsons, Jackson Miller, Nate Miller, Josh Freeman, Matt Freeman and Zac Freeman, one sister, Louise Freeman Hayes of Hot Springs, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Allen Freeman, his twin sister, Pauline Ernestine Freeman Antionio, sister, Bernice Freeman Moseley and a brother, Charles Freeman.
Memorial services will be held at 4pm, Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Lake Park United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the services in the social hall at the church.
