Paul B. Masden, 95, of Valdosta passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Langdale Hospice House. He as born in Howard, Pennsylvania on November 16, 1917 to the late William Harry and Mary Jane Coder Masden and had lived in Valdosta since 1962. Mr. Masden was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in World War II and retired as maintenance foreman at the Valdosta Sewer and Water Treatment Plant. He had worked for many years as parts manager for several car dealerships. Mr. Masden enjoyed making Christmas ornaments, reading, his dog, Blackie and enjoyed being with his family.
Survivors include two daughters and son in law, Marie and Terrell Rowan, Paula Thomas, granddaughter, Terri Brown, grandson, Greg Thomas, three great grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Kayla Brown, Katelyn Thomas, great great granddaughter, Addison Brown all of Valdosta, two sisters, Josephine Yearick of State College, PA, Bertha Walker of Mechanicsburg, PA, two brothers and sisters in law, Robert and Robin Masden, Charles and Shirley Masden all of Davenport, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Myrtle Cason Masden, two brothers, Walter Masden and Donald Masden and one sister, Dorothy Rupert.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, March 25, 2013 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde Stokes officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5pm at the funeral home.
