Patty Jo Mcmahan Hood

Patty Jo McMahan Hood, 57, of Ray City, GA passed away at South Georgia Medical Center on February 7, 2015. She was born in Terre Haute, IN on January 12, 1958 to the late Melvin Miles and Lenora Fay McMahan and had been a resident of this area since retiring from the Air Force in 1993. Mrs. Hood was an education technician at Moody Air Force Base. She was a member of the V.F.W. and Amvets and a member of Ministry Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hood is survived by her husband, Perry Hood, of Ray City; one son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Ruby Craft of Ray City; three grandchildren, Benny Jr., Jorja, and Hunter Craft, all of Ray City; Step-mother, Lisa Harbison of Texarkana, TX; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Gale McMahan of Fredericksburg, VA, Alan and Debbie McMahan of Spring, TX, Karl and Debra McMahan of Texarkana, TX; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judith and Dennis Etson of Covington, KY, Mellisa and John Paul Velasco of Little Rock, AR, Jennifer McMahan, Bridget McMahan both of Texarkana, TX. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Craft and a brother, Mike McMahan.

Services for Patty Jo Hood will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2 pm in the Carson McLane Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 – 2 pm prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Durham Cemetery in Terre Haute, IN. Condolences to the family may be made online at www.mclanecares.com.
