Patsy Louise Dorch Thompson, 76, of Naylor, died on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Crestwood Nursing Home following a period of declining health. She was born in Valdosta, Georgia on January 30, 1947, to the Lewis Dorch and Agnes Turner McDade. Mrs. Patsy was a homemaker and loved working in her yard. She was known for growing some of the most beautiful and biggest flowers by her family and friends. In previous years, she loved making her own porcelain and pottery. Mostly, she was known for her outgoing personality, who would literally talk with any and everybody. Her family agreed that she never met a stranger. Mrs. Patsy was a member of the Redland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheree and Donald O’Connor of Naylor; her grandchildren, George Beckham, Sheena Player, Brent and TeTe Player, Mandi Walker, Elizabeth Delk, Hunter Delk, Jessica O’Connor, and Donald O’Connor III; a number of great-grandchildren; her aunt, Louise Johnson. She was preceded by her husband, Ronald (Ron) Thompson and two daughters, Becky Walker and Tracy Falagan.
Services for Patsy Thompson will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Redland Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11 a.m. until service time at the church. The burial will follow the services in the Redland Baptist Church Cemetery.
