Patsy Pitts

Patsy Pitts, 66, of Valdosta died Friday, July 31, 2009 at her home. She was born on December 4, 1942 in Berrien County to the late Lucious Henry and Mae Tomlinson Smith and had lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Pitts attended the Northside Baptist Church and was a retired graduate studies administrative assistant at Valdosta State University. She devoted her life to caring for her family, loved nature and traveling.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Cindy and Phillip Roberts of Valdosta, son and daughter in law, David and Sandie Pitts of Cecil, three grandchildren, Lauren Fulgham, Parker Roberts and Brody Roberts, two sisters and brothers in law, Brenda and Gary Griffis of Valdosta, Judy and Corky Jordan of Hahira, numerous nieces and nephews, caregiver and special friend, Pat Gardner of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. (Tommy) Pitts and a brother, Donald H. Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, August 3, 2009 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-6pm at the funeral home.
