Patrick S. Meagher

PATRICK S. MEAGHER, 97, of Valdosta died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on October 22, 1910 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Thomas Francis and Margaret Gillem Meagher and had lived in Valdosta for the past ten years. Mr. Meagher was veteran of the United States Air Force having served in World War II and was a retired police officer with the Chicago Police Department. He attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Karen and James Nienow of Valdosta and three grandchildren, Tatyana Nienow, Adam Nienow and Anastasis Nienow. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marie Paull Meagher.

A funeral mass will be held at 12:10 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Marvin LeFrois officiating. Entombment will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the St. John Catholic Church.
