Patricia Sims

June 10, 1930 — September 3, 2015

Patricia Livar Sims, 85, of Valdosta, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Langdale Hospice House on September 3rd. She was preceded in death by her husband William Motte Sims of Atlanta, GA.
Her greatest joys in life were her family and friends. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Readers Review. An ardent Republican, Pat managed many mayoral, gubernatorial and senatorial political campaigns.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Brother Shenton of Valdosta; her son and daughter-in-law Bill and Kathy Sims of Milton, GA; grandchildren, Chad (Allison) Shenton of Valdosta, Bill (Anne) Shenton of Valdosta, and Claire Sims of Oxford, MS; and three great-grandchildren, Charley, Bo, and Mara Shenton.
She was thankful for the love and assistance of her caregivers Gloria McConico, LaKeshia Gibbs and Victoria Finniessee.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 8th. Family will receive friends at 10:00am, with a memorial service at 11:00am at Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. John Klimko will officiate.
