Patricia Arlene Blanchard, 77, of Valdosta died on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at South Georgia Medical Center. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on June 23, 1942, Ms. Blanchard was the daughter of the late Alfred Hubert and Hazel Arlene Murchison McGlamery. She had been a member of Northside Baptist Church and more recently was a member of Pine Grove Baptist. Ms. Blanchard loved meeting people and was well suited to her job as a food demonstrator and sales clerk working for the J.H. Harvey Company. She sold Avon for ten years and enjoyed working her flee market booth for over twenty years. A devoted mother and grandmother, she lived for her family and found her joy in spending time with them.
Survivors are her children, Jimmy (Cathy) Register of Stockton, Janet Arlene Register of Valdosta, and Jeffery Register of Valdosta; nine grandchildren, Alex (Jason) Breitmaier of Las Vegas, Patricia Hughes of Stockton, John (Nikkie) Zyduck of Valdosta, Kayla Cox of Athens, Erica Cox of Brunswick, Jon Cox, Eddie Cox, Ronnie Kerestus all of Valdosta, Jana Arlene Register of Tifton,; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Alfred Hubert ( Mac) McGlamery, Jr. of Valdosta, Ms. Blanchard was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Blanchard, brother, Donald (Don) McGlamery, and an infant brother, one great grandchild, Austin Bailey McCrary.
Graveside services and interment will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Frank Gupton will officiate. Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the Blanchard family. www.mclanecares.com.
