Patricia Allen Griffis

PATRICIA "PAT" ALLEN GRIFFIS, 74, of Valdosta died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on August 24, 1933 in Lakeland to the late Roy S. and Edith Scurry Allen and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Griffis was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby N. Griffis, an infant son, a brother and a sister.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Rick N. and Martha Griffis, Patty Wilkens, Randy and Eve Griffis all of Valdosta, Penny and Rich Armentrout of Trinidad, CO., Christy and Bobby Brown of Telford, TN., grandchildren, Daphne Eddlemon, Brendan Griffis, Beau Griffis, Tricia Wilkens, Dereck Wilkens, Charley Jean Sullivan, Daniel Sullivan, Maggie Griffis, Ty Armentrout, Troupe Armentrout, Tori Armentrout, Laiken Brown and Madison Brown, two great grandchildren, Jacie Eddlemon and Jadyn Eddlemon, sisters and brothers in law, Edna Roy and Chuck Walden of Lakeland, Sue Register of Lake Park, Judy and Dewayne Taylor of Illinois, brothers and sisters in law, Smitty and Marie Allen of Stockton, Carlton and Sandra Allen of Lake Park, Carroll and Linda Allen of Atlanta.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Morningside Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Naylor.
