Pat Owens Childree Riggins

Pat Owens Childree Riggins, 91, of Valdosta died Wednesday, May 5, 2020. She was born in Pitts, Georgia on December 5, 1928 to the late John Curtis and Omie Warren Owens. Mrs. Riggins loved the Lord and was a faithful and loyal member of Northside Baptist Church. She loved raising her four children and enjoyed spending time with them and their families and cooking. Mrs. Riggins was a member of the Camellia Garden Club, United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her husband, James Loran Riggins of Valdosta; her daughter, Judy Childree of Valdosta; two sons and daughters in law, Gary and Phyllis Childree, Rodney and Belinda Childree all of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Angie Childree, Keith Childree, Parker Childree, Jamie Childree, Ansley Childree Heninger and Kaleb Heninger; three great grandchildren, Evan Childree, James Childree, Angel Childree; her sister, Jackie Childree of Darien, GA; one brother, Sam Owens of Oakfield, GA; three stepchildren, J. R. Riggins, Terri Lloyd, Orrin Riggins and several stepgrandchildren; special family friend, Linda Glaze. She is preceded in death by her first husband of sixty one years, Hugh M. Childree; one son, Wayne Childree and four brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Dr. Robby Foster and Rev. Chuck Owens officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Camellia Garden Club, in care of the Crescent Garden Center, P. O. Box 2423, Valdosta, GA 31604-2423.
