P. Douglas Harrell

P. Douglas Harrell, 73 of Valdosta, passed away September 12, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. Born on September 8, 1932 in Valdosta, he was the son of the late Edward and Tanzie Culpepper Harrell.

He is survived by four aunts and two uncles, Efford and Leota Culpepper, Thelma Culpepper, Charles and Gladys O’Neal and Lillian Harrell, all of Valdosta and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Bulah Culpepper and an aunt, Bernstine Culpepper.

Funeral services for Mr. Harrell will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the Forrest Street Church of God with Rev. Wayne Hughes and Rev. Harold McLeod officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
