Otis Lee Simmons

Otis Lee Simmons, 68, of Quitman, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on May 12, 1940 in Booneville, MS to the late John Adam and Ora Kyle Strickland Simmons. Mr. Simmons was a retired self employed automobile mechanic/auto body worker.

He leaves to cherish his love and memory a wife, Sharon Simmons of Quitman, three daughters, Kelly Bennett of Valdosta, Billie Jo Neal of Gainesville, FL and Lee Ann Lott of Nashville, four sons, Zyndall Simmons of Brooksville, FL, David Simmons of Valdosta, Nakuma Simmons of Quitman and Otis Simmons, Jr. of Cairo, two brothers, Bobby Simmons of Dade City, FL and Bill Simmons of Lake Wales, FL and one sister, Ovaleen Mercer of Panama City, FL, nine grandchildren, Gaige, Chase, Austin, Dylan, Chevy, Jessica, Brittany, Justin and Brandon and one great grandchild, Gracie, many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ora Simmons, two brothers, Jim Simmons and Edd Simmons, two sisters, Mary Jenkins and Pauline Creech, two sons, Johnny Simmons and Randy Simmons.
