Ora Lee Harris, 88, of Valdosta, died at her home on Friday, December 1, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Born in Lowndes County on April 16, 1918, Mrs. Harris was the daughter of the late Jim and Eva Powers King. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ.
Survivors are her daughter and son in law, Geraldine and Leonard Guess of Valdosta, sons and daughters in law, Earnest E. and Betty Warren of Valdosta, Jimmy D. and Charlotte Warren of Thomasville, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; sisters and brother in law, Lois Coppage of Milton, Florida, Thelma Hunter of Oklahoma, Sara Suggs of Valdosta, Jenny Lee and Charlie Mullinax of Naylor, brother and sister in law, Jimmy and Carol King of Statenville, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three husbands, Earnest Samp Warren, Herbert Malloy and Thomas J. “T.J.” Harris, a granddaughter, Sheila Guess Horne, brother, Ernest King, sisters, Nancy King Knight, Evelyn Godwin and Doris Hall.
Services will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Brother James Colwell and Brother Jere Via will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
