Ollie Stubbs Daugherty

Ollie Stubbs Daugherty, 91, of Valdosta, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Lowndes County on December 2, 1917 to the late Claude Lee and Vinnie Vickers Stubbs. Mrs. Daugherty was a homemaker and a member of Hahira Church of Christ.

She is survived by four sons and five daughters in law, Frankye Johnson Daugherty of Valdosta, Jimmy and Annette Daugherty of Barney, Felton and Ginger Daugherty of Valdosta, Mike and Marlene Daugherty of Hahira and Steve and Sandra Daugherty of Valdosta, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one sister, Elaine Mellen of Boston, MA and one sister in law, Louise Johnson of Valdosta.

Mrs Daugherty was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Howell Daugherty, one son, Donald William Daugherty, three brothers, C. L. Stubbs, Gene Stubbs and Hoyt Stubbs, two sisters, Evelyn Brooks and Wera Daws.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at two p. m. at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira with Mr. Mark Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends Monday, February 9, 2009 from 6:30 p. m. until 8:30 p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.
