Odis Brown, Jr.

Odis Brown, Jr., 85, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Fellowship Home in Brooks County. Born in Adel, he was the son of the late Odis Brown, Sr., and Zetta Lee Cadie Brown. Junior was retired after 35 years working for Scruggs Concrete Company as a maintenance supervisor. He attended Hahira First Baptist Church, loved his Lord and his family. He was a hard worker, an avid fisherman and enjoyed wood working and building bird houses for friends.
Survivors are his son and daughter in law, Tim and Karen Brown of Valdosta; daughters and sons in law, Sherry and Paul Dooley of Valdosta, Michelle and Richard Crosby of Canton; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Ann Brown, sisters, Hattie Jones, Kathleen Patterson, brothers, Carlton Brown, Herman Brown, and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Martin/McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
