Norman Walter Eunice, Sr.

Norman Walter Eunice, Sr., 87, of Quitman died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Remerton on August 30, 1927 to the late Arthur Holmes and Eva Lavon Crumbley Eunice and was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Eunice was a member of the Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church where served as a deacon. He loved to fish and collect historical memorabilia about Valdosta.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Willie Pearl Fountain Eunice of Quitman; his children and their spouses, Carolyn Jean Crite, Barbara Ann and Tommy Waldron all of Quitman; Norman Walter, Jr. and Peggy Eunice of Valdosta, Jewell Elizabeth Bryant of Quitman; grandchildren and their spouses, Joey Lane, Michael Lane both of Jacksonville, FL, Jennifer and Jeff Dell of California, Wayne and Christy Waldron of Quitman, Greg and Stephanie Waldron of Tallahassee, FL; a special granddaughter, Teri Bryant of Quitman; step grandchildren, Kathy Gaskins of Stockton, Vicki and Wesley Henderson, Matt and Sheila Rogers, Mark and Jennifer Rogers all of Homerville; great grandchildren, Jennifer Lane, Albert Lane, Augustus Waldron, Caleb Waldron and Rebecca Waldron and several great great grandchildren, his aunt, Louise Macarages, nieces and their spouses, Pat and Roger Maurice, Lavon and John McDowell all of Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Eunice and Lillian Crosby.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Elder Thad Marshall officiating. A private burial will be held at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1pm until 2pm at the funeral home.
