Norman H.C. Weeks

Mr. Norman H.C. Weeks, 72, of Barney died on Monday, March 24, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mr. Weeks was born on February 13, 1936 in Lowndes County to the late Joe and Dollie Byrd Woodard Weeks. He was a retired farmer and salesman and attended Pleasant Way Baptist Church.

Mr. Weeks is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Tucker Weeks; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Benjie Hall of Pavo, and Sherry and Ricky McDonald of Valdosta; a son and daughter-in-law, Norman Wade and Dorris Weeks of Cocoa, Fl.; six grandchildren, BJ Hall of Valdosta, Bradley Hall of Pavo, Josh Weeks of Adel, Britt LaFord of Cape Canaveral, FL., Jordan McDonald of Fort Campbell, KY., and Brittany McDonald of Valdosta; one great grandchild, Rosalina LaFord of Cape Canaveral, FL.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mozelle and Raymond Black and Model Stott all from Tampa, FL. Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Services for Mr. Norman H.C. Weeks will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Watson and Rev. Murrell Bennett officiating. The burial will follow in the Pleasant Way Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
