Nordean Ellery (Dean) Haugen, 88, of Valdosta passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Pruitt Health Crestwood. He was born on May 9, 1930 in Mable, MN to the late Lemoyne Orlanden Haugen and Helen Marie Johnson Haugen.
Dean was a sweet, caring and loving person. Relocating from Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he owned Waldron Seat Covers to Valdosta he was the former owner of Moss Trim Shop from 1985 until 2009 when his health declined. He was active in bowling and car shows, won many awards and became President of both. He enjoyed old cars. Dean was one of the guys that met with the older guys at the Gold Plate Restaurant. He was very well known by many. He loved to treasure hunt at flea markets and thrift stores, collecting old records and books.
Dean leaves cherished memories by two children, two adopted children and one angel, Steve J. Haugen, Linda (Stuart) Campbell, Rick Schulze, Judy Schulze and Nancy Mathis, two granddaughters, Valerie Campbell and Heidi Wrisley, three grandsons, Luke Haugen, Patrick Campbell and Darrick Schulze and one great grandson, Willy Haugen.
Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2018 from six until eight p. m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial Saturday at eleven a. m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Wildwood, FL. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com
