Nona Hunter Wright, 87, formerly of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin. Born in 1919, in Lowndes County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Hansel and Cornelia Ethel Williams Albritton. She retired from what was formerly known as First Union Bank as an accounting clerk and was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors are her daughter, Nancy Adam of McDonough; grandchildren and their spouses, Sharon and Nelson Fonville of McDonough, Scott and Marianne Allen of Carrolton, Kelli and Shannon Taylor of Windsor, SC, Brad and Stacey Barrett and Greg and Cate Hunter all of Valdosta; sisters, Verna Herndon and Myrtle Moore both of Jacksonville, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Dianne Albritton of Stafford, TX; former daughter-in-law, Deborah Johnson of Valdosta; 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Randall Glynn Hunter, Randall Studstill, her son, Randy Hunter, sisters, Almaryne Joyce, Lois Johns, Bernice Scott and brothers, Eugene Albritton and Jack Albritton.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Redland Cemetery with Dr. Craig Rikard officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
