Nezzip Joseph Myers, 64, of Valdosta died on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. He was born in Valdosta and has been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a graduate of Lowndes High School and was the owner/operator of A-1 Pumping Service. Mr. Myers had attended Azalea City Church of God.
He is survived by his son, Nolan Joseph Myers and his friend Katie Cherry; his mother and step-father, Mary Myers Cowart and Raymond Cowart, all of Valdosta; a brother and sister-in-law, Byron and Pam Myers of Valdosta; a sister, Lynn O’Neal of Adel; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Teresa Myers of Perry, Florida; several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Edward Myers.
Services for Nezzip Joseph Myers will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Nelligan officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
