Neyron Durrence

August 17, 1918 — September 17, 2012

Neyron Dorr Eldred Durrence, 94, of Clyattville, died on Monday, September 17, 2012, at his home after a short illness. Born in Collins, Tattnall County, Georgia, on August 17, 1918, he was the son of the late John James Durrence and Thelma Ree Phillips Durrence. Mr. Durrence was a retired labor supervisor for Owens Illinois and he was a WWII veteran.
Survivors are his daughters, Joyce Ann Register of Colchester, Illinois, Thelma Ree and Mack Chaney of Adel, Gloria Jean Masters of Grandview, Missouri; a son, James Michael and Vickie Durrence of Lake City, Florida, daughter, Mary Helen and Terry Sparrow of Macomb, Illinois; eighteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren; a sister, Audrey DeHart. He was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Mike Brown will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Dasher Cemetery. The family of Mr. Durrence will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a favorite charity.
