Nettie Mae Mcleod

Nettie Mae "Granny" McLeod, 101, of Valdosta passed away at her home on May 18, 2015. Born in Valdosta on February 8, 1914 to the late Frank and Minnie Lee Ragan Fletcher she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a homemaker and a member of Redland Baptist Church.

Survivors are a daughter, Louise Sims of Valdosta, son and daughter in law, Roswell and Martiele McLeod of Perry, Florida, daughter and son in law, Mary and Marlin Simpson of Dublin; seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, twenty great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a sister, Alma Carson of Bowie, Maryland. Mrs. McLeod was pre-deceased by her parents, two grandchildren, eight brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Redland Baptist Church. Reverend Jay Watkins and Pastor Tom Kelley will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
