Nellie Vickers Parker, 87, of Hahira, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Lowndes County on May 26, 1923 to the late Henry D. Vickers and Lilly Pauline Webb Vickers. Mrs. Parker was a homemaker, a member of Hahira First Baptist Church and the WMU.
She is survived by four daughters and sons in law, Joyce and B. J. Tomlinson, Shirley and Hugh Etheridge, Diane and Raymond Stalvey, all of Hahira, Paulette and Dave Bearden of Morven, eight grandchildren and their spouses, Stacy and Rhonda Tomlinson, Brian and Amy Tomlinson, Tisha Tomlinson, Vicki Williamson, Mike Etheridge, Gary and Angie Etheridge, Sherrie and Ricky Tripp and Blake and Mandy Stalvey, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandson, one brother, Thomas Vickers of Hahira, two sisters, Lennie Parker of Hahira and Betty Lou Griffis of Warner Robins, GA. Mrs. Parker is predeceased by her husband, Eugene Parker and two grandsons, Jeff Stalvey and Reed Bearden.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at eleven a. m. at the Hahira First Baptist Church with Pastor David Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
