Nellie Mae Clark

NELLIE MAE CLARK, 95, of Valdosta died Saturday, December 24, 2005 at Lakehaven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 6, 1910 at Massee, Georgia in Cook County to the late William V. and Rachel Ann Hodges Williams and had lived in Valdosta since 1951. Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Clark in 1983 and a daughter, Joann Vinson in 1962.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Doris and John Metallo of Hilliard, Florida, 2 special grandchildren, Linda Sue Van Horn and Laura Ann Cox, 11-grandchildren, 14-great grandchildren and 11-great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim VanLandingham and Rev. Jim Schappaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Bridge Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
