Nelda Sue Wilson

Nelda Sue Wilson, 66, of Lake Park passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was born in Sparks, GA on March, 9, 1949 to the late James "Ed" and Era "Belle" Hendley Clanton. Mrs. Wilson was a talented sewer and seamstress and was also known for her cooking. In her spare time, she liked to fish, read, and play games. She enjoyed traveling and being a truck drivers' wife. Nelda was a loving mother and grandmother who was a baptized member of Wright's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Richard Nolan; her grandchildren, Jordan and Ansley Nolan; a sister and brother-in-law, Robbie Nell and Robert Corey; a brother and sister-in-law, Lamar and Louise Clanton; brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Norman and Mamie Pipkins all of Lake Park, and Sylvia Clanton of Valdosta; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Lloyd Herring, Eugene "Buck" Moon, and Doug Wilson; two brothers, George and Russell Clanton; her infant son Richard Anthony Herring.

Services for Nelda Sue Wilson will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Wright's Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ray Yody will officiate. Burial will follow at Wright's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
