Nelda Jean Wetherington

Nelda Jean Wetherington, 71, of Hahira, died on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Hahira on March 10, 1946 to the late W.R. and Lethia Dumaine Nichols. She worked as a bookkeeper for Quality Electric Valdosta. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and working in the yard. She enjoyed travelling. She attended Park Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Wetherington, Jr. of Hahira; son and daughter-in-law, Frank Wetherington, III and Becky Wetherington, of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Ricky Smith of Hahira; grandchildren, Hunter and Caitlin Loyless, Harrison Loyless, Hayden and Shelby Loyless, Trey Wetherington, Zoey Wetherington; great grandchildren, Crispin and Kynlee Loyless; sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Edgar Dunlap of Gainsville, Georgia; and aunts, uncles, niece, and nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Martin McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 16, 2017 between 6-8 p.m. at Martin McLane Funeral Home. Martin McLane
