Nathan Orlin Reedy

Nathan Orlin Reedy, 82, of Ray City, GA, passed away peacefully at his home early Monday morning, January 26, 2025.

Born to the late Orlin Peter and Mary Henrietta (Grieiser) Reedy, Nathan lived a full and meaningful life. He was a proud Naval veteran and a dedicated member of his community, sharing his wisdom and love of learning as a substitute teacher in the Valdosta schools for the past 15 years. He also blessed others with his musical talents, playing the piano and organ at church services.

Nathan found great joy in his daily Bible reading phone calls with his cousin Diane that he cherished.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mildred Jayne Reedy, and his grandson, Johnathan Husbands.

Nathan leaves behind a loving family, including his four children: Timothy Reedy of Lake City, FL; Lillian Walsh and husband Bob of Ray City, GA; Natalee Blanford and husband Neil of Conway, AK; and Jeffery Reedy and wife Carla of Johnstown, TN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Adrian, Julian, Brittany, Aaron, Ashlee, Seth, Joey, William, and Haylee; four great-grandchildren, and three brothers: Ron Reedy of Washington, Daryl Reedy and wife Bonnie Jo of Illinois, and Gary Reedy and wife Marylyn of Iowa. Nathan will be dearly missed by many extended family members and close friends.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services at this time.

Nathan's legacy of kindness, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
