Nathan D. "Bud" Harris

March 26, 1936 — May 30, 2013

Nathan D. "Bud" Harris, 77, of Hahira, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Hahira, GA on March 26, 1936 to the late Dewey Harris and Sadie Millirons Harris. Bud served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his nephew, Andy Harris of Valdosta, his sister in law, Liz Owens of Valdosta, great nieces and nephews, Ashley Singletary, Brandi and Dennis Akin, Katie and Hunter Akin, all of Cordele, numerous cousins, and special friend, Dennis Bass. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Pete Harris and Bill Harris and one niece and nephew in law, Linda Harris Singletary and A. J. Singletary.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at eleven
a. m. at the graveside at Shiloh Cemetery with Reverend Wayne Boykin officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Martin/McLane Funeral Home from six until eight
p. m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association, the Valdosta-Lowndes County Humane Society or to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
