Nancy Finley Bigelow

Nancy Finley Bigelow, 81, of Valdosta died Monday, March 17, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Albion, Michigan on June 1, 1932 to the late Clarence and Alta Dailey Finley and had lived in Valdosta since 1969. Mrs. Bigelow was a Presbyterian and a veteran of the United States Air Force (WAC) serving during the Korean Conflict. She enjoyed music, arts and crafts, baking and decorating cakes for family and friends and participating in her children's school activities. Mrs. Bigelow enjoyed attending her grandson's sporting activities and accompanying her husband on his golfing activities.

Survivors include her husband, John A. Bigelow of Valdosta; her son and daughter in law, Paul A. and Kimberly Bigelow of Austin, TX; her daughter, Denise Bigelow Girdler of Valdosta; her grandson, Aaron P. Girdler of Valdosta; her sister, Peggy Trall of California; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Hope Hepler, Phyllis Daniels and Arva Wallace all of Michigan.

Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Willis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
