Nancy Ann Smith Goodgame

Nancy Ann Goodgame, 70, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at Lake Haven Nursing Home. Born in Wilwaukee, Wisconsin, on March 19, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Dorothea Aikman Smith. She had made her home in Valdosta since 1972. Mrs. Goodgame was a devoted member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. She was active with the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary and she loved to play Bingo.

Preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Leon Goodgame she is survived by her sisters and her brother, Rhea Hutchison, Loretta Contgino and Dennis Smith all of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 18, 2006, at 12:10 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Father Marvin LeFrois will officiate. Burial will be at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. Mrs. Goodgame requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. John’s Building Fund or to the American Diabetes Association.
