Myrtle F. Williams, 73, lifelong resident of Valdosta, died on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville. Born in 1933 in Valdosta, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Lillie Bradley Faircloth. Myrtle was a legal secretary and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors are her husband, Jack Williams of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Green and Rick Van De Mark of Daytona Beach; son and daughter-in-law, Maj. Blenus (Blen) and Susan Green of Abilene, TX; granddaughters, Zoe Green and Cassie Green both of Abilene; and a brother, Calvin Faircloth of Valdosta.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2007 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
