Myrtle A. (Pape) Bennett

Myrtle A. (Pape) Bennett, 73, of Valdosta died on Friday, May 8, 2020 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born on November 12, 1946 in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late Orin Kendrick and Mary Jane Childs. She enjoyed playing Bingo and attended Bingo games at the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge. She was a homemaker, and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Robin Bennett of Lake Park, two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina Bennett and Glenn Moore, and Robbie and Tony Reynolds all of Valdosta, two sons, Danny Bennett and Tyrone Bennett both of Valdosta, a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Brian Walker of Lakeland; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ardith Gazzo of Biloxi, Mississippi; three sisters-in-law, Joan Legette of Valdosta, Mary Virginia Flurry of Texas, and Shelia Bennett of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Bennett; two brothers, Silas Kendrick and Steve Kendrick; two sisters, Annie Jean Oster and Mary Lou Kendrick.
A graveside service for Myrtle A. (Pape) Bennett will be held at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira on Monday, May 11, 2020 with Rev. Carlton Allen officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
