MSgt. Harrison J. “Harri” Hughes, 32, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and formerly of Thomasville, Georgia, died on Friday, November 25, 2022. He was born on November 13, 1990, in Thomasville and was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base where he served as a pararescueman with the United States Air Force. Harri loved to go fishing, especially with his children, he also enjoyed working on his 1985 Blazer, but the most important things to him were honoring God, loving his wife and children, and serving his country. When asked what his greatest accomplishments were, he would say his wife and his children. His greatest joy was leading his daughters Autumn and Kennedy to Christ. Harri was a former member of the Perimeter Road Baptist Church
He is survived by his wife, Julie Hughes of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and formerly of Carrolton, Georgia; his children, Autumn Hughes, Kennedy Hughes, Coalson Hughes, and Savannah Hughes; his parents, Dr. Richard and Lisa Yates Hughes of Thomasville; a brother and sister-in-law, Jordan and Chelsea Hughes of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a sister and brother-in-law, Kayla and Garrett Manley of Denver, Colorado; his grandmother, Betty Yates of Huntsville, Alabama; his parents-in-law, Stephen and Jeanette Hutcheson of Valdosta, and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jessie and Olen Hulett also of Valdosta.
Services for MSgt. Harrison J. “Harri” Hughes, will be held at 11am on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the Perimeter Road Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Anderson officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7 pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
