Mrs. Tom J. (Geneva) Moore

Mrs. Tom J. (Geneva) Moore, 89, of Valdosta died Monday, September 7, 2009 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on August 4, 1920 in Clinch County to the late Richmond Wallace and Pearlie Smith McLean. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Naylor Methodist Church where she loved to attend as long as her health permitted. She loved gardening, fishing, cooking, crocheting and serving meals to people at her table. Mrs. Moore loved visiting in the nursing homes and vacationing to the mountains with her family.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Juanita and Ralph Daugharty of Howell, Bobbie M. Roberts, Eva M. and Grover C. Cox all of Jacksonville, Fla., Reida M. and Robert Johnson of Stockton, two sons and daughters in law, Thomas J., Jr. and Ann Shytle Moore, Terry W. and Frances Moore all of Valdosta, a son in law, Randall Woodruff of Valdosta, 17-grandchildren, Sandra Ladrow, Danny Daugharty, Sonya (Melvin) Coffman, Daren (Dawn) Roberts, Donna (Danny) Tomlin, DeWayne (Dee) Cox, Michelle (Tom) Gaines, Dane Woodruff, Michael (Robyn) Woodruff, Rhonda (George) Williams, Cindy (Kevin) Stephenson, Thomas J., III, Jenna Evelyn, Lisa Marie, Michelle Ann, Tyler James and Wally (Allison) Moore and 26-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom J. Moore, two daughters and a son in law, Ann Dell and Jessie Knowles, Hellen Marie Woodruff, a son in law, Carroll Roberts, three brothers and one sister. The family would like to thank Grace Hospice and their friends for all their care, love and support.

Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Thursday, September 10, 2009 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Good Hope Cemetery.
