Mr. Preston Julius Stevens

Mr. Preston Julius Stevens, 86, of Valdosta and formerly of New York passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 1, 1935 to the late Preston Julius Stevens, Sr. and Thelma Jones Stevens. Mr. Stevens was a field manager for IBM. He was a United States Army veteran and served his country from 1960 until 1963.
He is survived by his wife whom he met in Ghana, West Africa while conducting business, Juliana Esi Stevens of Schenectady, NY, son, Bennett K. Stevens (Sharon) of Schenectady, NY, daughter, Mina Stevens of Valdosta, grandchildren, Isaiah Stevens USAF, Jordan Stevens and Jynnae Stevens, sister, Juanita Warmsley of Brooklyn, NY, cousins, Cynthia Jones (Henry) and Beverly McIntosh, other aunts, uncles and cousins and close friend and caretaker, Dawn Gibson.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Chaplain Frank Gupton officiating. Military honors will be rendered.
