Molly Ann Carpenter

Molly Ann Waldron Carpenter, 85, of Valdosta, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 22, 1921 in Columbia County, FL to the late James Jethro (Jess) and Myantha Matilda Melton Waldron. Mrs. Carpenter was a homemaker and a member of Prospect Primitive Baptist Church in White Springs, FL.

She is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Carol and Glenn Pendleton of Deland, FL, Dolores Carpenter of Valdosta, two sons and one daughter in law, Kim and Pat Carpenter of Valdosta and David Carpenter of Okemos, Michigan, six grandchildren, Bo and Stella Carpenter of Dacula, Alex and Priscilla Carpenter of Lawrenceville, April Sapp of Deland, FL, Michael Sapp of Port Orange, FL, Hector Carpenter and Kate Carpenter of Valdosta, two great granddaughters, Lanie Carpenter of Dacula, and Reagan Sapp of Deland, FL, two brothers in law, William Atwell of Land O’Lakes, FL and Howard and Phyllis Carpenter of Seney, MI, four sisters in law, Ruby Owen of Newberry, MI, Edna Waldron and Mary Tomlinson of Lake Park, Ruth Dake of Newberry, MI. Mrs. Carpenter is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Roger Carpenter, one grandson, Kyle Sapp, three brothers, Barney Waldron, Asbury Waldron and Roy Waldron, five sisters, Ada Cowart, Leila Minton, Stella Herring, Sara Atwell and Versie Hodges.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Donald Hodges and Reverend Albert Altman officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends Monday, April 30, 2007 from six until eight p. m. at the funeral home.
