Miriam Toal Anderson, 49, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, April 16, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Born in Homerville, to Juanita Toal and the late Moses Toal, she has been a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Anderson attended Echols County High School and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Valdosta. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and friend to many.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband Steve Alan Anderson of Valdosta; two daughters, Shannon McPipkin of Lake Park, and Alicia Shay Landaverde of Valdosta; a son and daughter in law, Steve & Sarah Anderson of Valdosta; her mother, Juanita J. Toal of Statenville; six grandchildren, Haley McPipkin, Lawsen McPipkin, and Aiden Perez, all of Lake Park, Jade Landaverde, Emily Landeverde, Kayden Bennett all of Valdosta; four sisters and two brothers in law, Marta Toal of Valdosta, Melanie Toal of Ray City, Melisa & Bruce Thomas of Naylor, and Marcia & Raymond Anderson of Valdosta; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Moses Toal.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, April 18, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at United Pentecostal Church of Valdosta on Bemiss Road. Rev. W.E. Wood will officiate.
