Minnie Bledsoe

Minnie Bledsoe, 84, of Americus, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA. She was born on May 18, 1928 in Irwin County, GA to the late Aaron and Susie Mae Hall Lassiter. Mrs. Bledsoe was a homemaker, a member of Tippetville Baptist Church in Dooly County, GA, the Pilot Club of Americus, Faith Sunday School Class at Magnolia Manor and Christian Circle Women. She had been a resident of Magnolia Manor since 2000.

Mrs. Bledsoe is preceded in death by her husband, Buford Bledsoe and is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Sammy and Sibyl Bledsoe of Americus, Mike and Tracy Bledsoe of Hahira, one daughter and son in law, Susan and Mark Orsino of Americus, eight grandchildren, Pamela Bledsoe, Charlie Bledsoe (Junay Rutherford), Michaela Kean (Nick), Krystin Daugherty (Chad), Sean Bledsoe (Samantha), Michelle Wade (Glen Knight), Dean Parham (Dacey) and Mickey Parham, ten great grandchildren, Brittany Wade, Leslie Wade, Carl Wade, Jr., Mackenzie Pugh, Gabriella Daugherty, Jonathan Bledsoe, Lilly Daugherty, Maddox Kean, Tripp Parham and Lexie Parham, one sister, Pearlie Mae Flowers of Adel, special friend, Kate Law of Americus and several nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley Lassiter and Edward Lassiter.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at two p. m. at Hughes and Wright Funeral Home in Cordele with Reverend Dennis Stalvey, Reverend John Brodess and Reverend Billy Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the League of the Good Samaritan, 2001 South Lee Street, Americus, GA 31709.
