Mildred "Mim" Fielding Holton, 84, of Valdosta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was born January 4, 1928 in Waycross, a daughter of the late Henry Hankins Fielding and Missouri Cady Parrish Fielding. She was a member of New Covenant Church. Her life and love for the Lord was evident in her devotion to her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters in law, John Bruer Holton, Sr. and Sandi of Virginia Beach, VA, Glynn Holton of Valdosta, Tim Holton and Debbie of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Jennifer Finch and husband Paul of Tallahassee, FL, Luke Holton and Matthew Holton of Valdosta, Carly Holton and Bruer Holton of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Ann Thompson of Austin, MN; one sister in law, Kathryn Parrish of Lake Park, GA; one brother in law, Robert "Bob" Holton and wife Nancy of Southaven, MS; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, John Floyd Holton, Jr.; four sisters, Latrelle Parrish Gregory, Lydia Fielding Register, Ada Fielding Shiver, Mary Fielding Howell and six brothers, Frank Parrish, Oswald Parrish, George Fielding, Etheridge Fielding, William "Bill" Fielding and Henry "Little Bill" Fielding.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Holton will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Randy Stephen and Pastor Jeff Williams officiating.
